Main car park for Isle of Man Ferry. The payment system has been U/S for a couple of years so it’s basically a free stay. If you’re coming over you can park up here while you wait. Quiet unless another ship is loading. Use ear plugs!!

No services just a park up. Was not as noisey as we thought it would be. Free to park and excellent for the boat to the Isle of Man. Lovely walk into Heysham to the beach.

It's exactly as described, loud with banging from cars and trucks coming from the ferry but I slept like a log. No hassle from anyone so perfect for me

I am here for 24 hours. It’s free at the moment (February 2024). Pretty, it’s not, and it’s quite loud but seems safe. Earplugs are a must if you want to sleep. However, I have discovered an amazing walk over the cliffs which starts not far from here. There is a little cafe too. Many dog walkers and hikers on a blustery winters day. There is a decent and warm pub down the road as well.

Barriers removed again. I think they’re only up for TT and possibly MGP periods. The new equipment was working until the ticket machine ran out of paper. Then they just removed the barrier and zero rated parking charges.
