Na 2 jaar teruggekomen op deze plek. Omgeving niet veranderd en nog altijd schoon. Prettige plek om rustig te overnachten. Goede 5 G. Er stonden 5 andere campers. Mooi korte wandeling rond het meet mogelijk. Dat doen veel hondenuitlaters ook.

Grand parking plat, avec accès direct pour faire le tour du lac. Poubelles presentes. Beaucoup de locaux viennent se promener, tous sympathiques. Il y avait d'autres CC et van. Calme la nuit.

Super plek om te overnachten. Heerlijk rustig en donker snachts, vriendelijke locals die hun hond uitlaten en rond het meertje lopen. In een half uur tijd konden we naar het centrum van Cambridge fietsen. Goed te doen, alles vlak en veel fietspaden.

Super endroit très propre et au calme meme si on entend les voitures au loin. Un petit lac à proximité dont on peut faire le tour. A maintenir propre svp! c'est tellement appréciable d'arriver dans un tel endroit! Super coucher de soleil.

Good spot off the motorway in the way back up from the ferry to the north. Just outside sawston, quiet park up with not much light pollution. Farm at the end of the track. No services so self sufficient campers are welcomed.

Hemos pasado una noche y día tranquilos, sin problemas de ningún tipo, puedes salir a pasear con tu perro sin problema.La entrada con algunos baches. Lugareños vienen con sus mascotas a pasear pero te respetan.

Großer, offener, geschotterter Parkplatz mit Schlaglöchern. Weiterer Blick auf Wiesen. Sehr ruhig. Schöner Sonnenuntergang.

Prima Platz, gross und sehr sauber, überall Mülleimer. Schöne runde um den See. Absolut ruhig geschlafen, sehr nette Einheimische auf Hunderunde

lovely stop for the night and a great morning walk around the lake. lots of bins provided which meant it was very clean, we stayed over a Bank holiday Sunday and were the only ones there. dog walkers stared around 7am but that didn't bother us.

EDIT November 2024 They appear to be installing a 2.5m height barrier -- Great place with lots of room to park and walk. EdEdEd's multiple comments below almost feels like a local trying to scare off campers... Just this one campsite visited wide-wide and 3 separate break ins, terrible luck

Endroit calme près d’un lac. Sol en terre ( certainement difficile par jour de pluie). A 10 minutes à pieds le pub The Rose ( prendre à gauche en sortant du parking par la piste cyclable) . Très bonne Nourriture Thaï ( un plat plus une bière 29€) , endroit propre et coquet.

Such a quiet night here last night. Only stayed for one night but we weren’t disturbed at all. A couple of other vans arrived later after us, but were really respectful and quiet. There’s plenty of room for a multiple amount of vans/cars. Dog walkers/the public do arrive in the morning but again, we’re really friendly. Would highly recommend to stay here!

My favourite spot near to Cambridge. Wonderful peaceful location to spend the night, all you hear are the coots squeaking from the reservoir … they don’t seem to sleep. Great to have a walk around the water in the morning. As others have said, go dead slow over the speed bumps .. personally, I like them as they keep the boy racers away.

Parking défoncé mais relativement plat, en retrait de la route, au calme. Beaucoup de places, c'est le parking de la ballade des chiens du coin. Pas essayé la nuit, mais c'est jouable à condition de ne pas craindre de dormir seul ou pas.

Ideal one night stopover. Ourselves and three other campers. A few dog walkers from 8am. Quiet village 10 mins walk. Slept well.

As described, big place and flat, no trees so get hot in the morning. People come to walk their dogs in the morning. Friendly but no peace. More a stop on the way than a place you will want to have dinner or breakfast really

Stayed here for several weeks for the night (as I worked in Cambridge). Calm and usually a few other vans.

Nice spot with a small evening walk around the reservoir. Hat a couple neighbours and cars came in and out till 10pm. Some lads where practing boxing with pads and kept to themselves. Very peaceful.

Prima voor de nacht door te brengen. Rustig en smorgens komen mensen met hun hond wandelen. Stonden met een paar campers.

During the morning and till sunset relatively frequented with dog walkers but they were friendly. You can still hear the road but it was alright. Spend a quiet night with one other camper. 20 min drive into the city.

few dog walkers early on but arrived late and only 2 vans here. Savage "speed bumps" are two rails only 150mm high or so but like railway tracks so everything will bounce around getting over. other than that lovely quiet spot for a quick stay. No amenities. Ee Network full 4g signal.

Arrived late evening on day 1 - 2 other vans already in parking area. On day 2 I was the first van and was joined by 4 others. It’s a busy spot although to be fair everyone has left very early morning. There are no speed bumps on way in but rather ridges of concrete left over from something in the past. I cannot emphasise enough how slow you need to cross these. I went up onto them and used the brake pedal to come down. They are horrendous otherwise. Mostly flat, quite a few pot holes. When wet very muddy. Re: security - when out for walks I covered all windows including cab windows & left music player going inside the van. I had no issues over 2 days. Busy spot. Vodafone / EE and 3 network all excellent signals. Small local shop within 5 minutes walk. There are 2 routes into car park close to each other - do NOT go in via the narrow road. Very quiet overnight & no boy racers.

Please be aware. We went for a walk in the local village only to return to see our camper had been broken into. They must have been seen, perhaps by one of the many dogwalkers because nothing valuable had been stolen but the door was twisted and will probably cost a fair bit to repair. We also spoke with a man from Germany whose bicycle had gone missing at this car park a week earlier.

Ruime plek op vlak ( bij regen) modderig terrein. Geen beschutting bij wind. Stonden er met 3 andere campers. Wat hondenuitlaters in de avond en ochtend. Afhankelijk van de wind is de snelweg hoorbaar. Let op de ongelijke asfaltrichel bij de opgang van het terrein. Goede 4 G! In de buurt van Duxford Imperial War Museum.

Quick overnight stop off in late October. Plenty of space. Gravel car park puddly but not muddy. Vicious speed bumps at the entrance that’ll shake your van to bits but probably help keep out boy racers. Can’t see the water from the car park but still a nice view. Well placed near good roads but quiet and out of the way. Dog walkers from about 7am but perfectly good quiet night.

Für uns ein perfekter Stellplatz, nach einer langen Fahrt. Wir könnten uns kurz die Beine vertreten und uns erholen. Nach einer ruhigen Nacht geht es weiter.

Very nice flat parking area, stayed 2 nights very quiet. sunset was beautiful, very good position for getting the bus into Cambridge, would definitely stay here again.

great and quiet place, flat, easy access from main road, very good mobile signal, nice walk around reservoir but with many insects on opposite side parking park was completely out of insects few friendly dog walkers we really enjoyed there highly recommended

Mooie rustige plek. Leuke kleine wandeling om het reservoir. Er kwamen tot laat mensen om te wandelen en sochtends ook al vroeg maar de parkeerplaats is groot genoeg om ergens in een hoek te gaan staan en er niet echt last van te hebben.

Dormito bene, abbastanza silenzioso, due camper. Qualche persona in passeggiata. Nessun problema.

Grand parking au calme principalement fréquenté par des promeneurs de chien. Nous avons passé une nuit tranquille.

great place for a stay when visiting Cambridge. at Friday evening some people where there but stayed rather quite. cell service is ok. a walk around the basin is recommended
