Looked lovely, we paid for a week then they told us it was adults only. They refunded us but it’s such a shame

The Scotch Piper Public House. A charming, 700-year-old building with a thatched roof, a small bar, and quirky lounges. The camping area behind the pub is large enough for several small campervans. Outdoor watering holes, restrooms, and trash cans are available.

J1lly102/04/2025Really good site, behind the pub, quiet and peaceful... £10 for an overnight stay... Fairly level decent sized pitch with gravel. Water and toilets available. Safe and secure.
nonebob08/10/2024Stayed one night with VW camper on way south from Scotland. Excellent spot. Level grass pitches with gravel strips for vehicle to stand on. Charming old pub with nice beer. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Quiet at night, albeit was a weekday.

Lovely quiet, flat field behind pub. I stayed on a Wednesday, which was bike night. Great atmosphere, helpful & friendly staff. Spotlessly clean loos. Water tap. Would go back again - sadly couldn’t stay for the second night as intended.

Sehr schöner Stellplatz mit sauberen Toiletten und sehr netten Besitzern. Am Wochenende gibt es auch Livemusik im Biergarten neben den Stellplätzen, also man muss bis 23pm wachbleiben wollen. Nach Liverpool ins Zentrum braucht man ca. 1h mit dem Bus.
Seb8611/07/2024Charmant endroit pour visiter Liverpool. Le bus 300 passe au pied du pub pour aller à Liverpool. Le terrain est sympa, nous y sommes restés 2 nuits vraiment tranquilles. L'entrée est un peu étroite, mais sa passe avec nos campings classiques. Allez boire une bière au pub, vous êtes sûr de faire de belles rencontres et les propriétaires sont très gentils

Urige Kneipe mit großer Wiese, wo man für 10£ die Nacht stehen kann. Bezahlt wird im Pub (Cash&Card). Es gibt einen schönen Biergarten,wo man noch das ein oder andere Ale probieren kann.Das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine ruhige und angenehme Nacht :) Achtung! Die Zufahrt ist sehr schmal. 2,60 hat gerade so gepasst.

Stayed Friday night with 8 other campers and motorhomes. Staff very helpful and friendly. Still £10 a night but outside water tap and spotless modern toilets open 24 hours. Friday night is live music and the pub is worth a look with history dating to 1400.

stayed here last night 25.2.2023 Great place with live music. stayed on the grass field at back of the pub. owner very accommodating. toilets and fresh water availble all night. only van on there for the night. highly recommended. Great place this will be In the warmer months with the Great beer garden.

A great stop over. Stayed overnight January 2023 camping field wet so stayed on car park. Local users of the inn very friendly and made me feel welcome. Good selection of beers. Only serving pies and chessboard in the week however cheese board looked fantastic. Great quirky pub would recommend to anyone in the area who doesn’t know want to stay in the city. Staff also very welcoming.

Stumbled upon this place then found out it was on this app. £10 behind the bar to stay in there huge grassed area out the back. Toilets and water available. Pies and burgers on sale. Lovely place and Wednesday is bikers night so if you sit outside from 6pm onwards you’ll see 50+ motorcycles arrive and watch all the riders appreciate each other’s bikes. Apparently Fri/Sat have great live music too.

Lovely safe place to rest for the night, access to toilets also. £10 at the bar and the lady opened the gate so I could drive into the field at the back.

Would definitely recommend this place. Field behind the pub for campers. Nice and quiet. Nice pub, friendly staff. An absolute bargain for £10 / night.

Really accommodating even though pub was very busy. Paid the lady 10£ and she took some details, showed us the facilities and where we could park. (decently flat) Space for 10 moderate sized vans with amble space to move. Access to disabled toilets. Staff were really friendly and the drink selection was great too! We spent 40£ for the night prior to this and preferred it here!

Super endroit. Personnel très sympa. 10 £ pour la nuit avec accès toilettes du bar jusqu'à 23h. Prendre quelques verres au bar (les Gins sont excellents). Pour visiter Liverpool, se garer à la station de Maghull North (pas de restriction dr hauteur) et pour 4 £ l aller-retour, prendre le train en direction de Liverpool (20 min).

Really nice and quiet place to stay for the night. The locals and owners are very friendly and gave us a lot of ideas of local places to visit including a few books about the surrounding areas. Good prices in the pub and the toilet is open all night too. Definitely recommend!

A very quaint pub to support with friendly owners and locals. Caroline is helpful and can give you the history of the pub, or you can read about it. Huge green field out the back and away from road noise. Picnic tables and water tap. They do appreciate you buying a few drinks which is an ideal trade.

This place is ideal. Nice old pub, reasonably priced beers, super friendly staff and they are more than happy to let us stay the night. Toilet open all night. Nice and secure, away from the road. Top notch!

Super netter Chef, Toilette und Frischwasser verfügbar. Parken auf Gras. Pub ist sehr urig. Sehr nette Gespräche. Zu Essen gibt es nur eine Käse-Auswahl mit Kräckern.

Uriges Pub. Sehr nette Besitzer und gute Bierauswahl, gezapft, auch lokales Bier. Preis völlig in Ordnung. Gratis WiFi im Pub. Toilette nachts geöffnet. Fußläufig ist auch ein Farm Shop vorhanden.
